Frequently Asked Questions  
 
1. What are your hours?
  Early Days Preschool & Childcare is open from 7a.m. until 6p.m. Monday through Friday.
   
2. What is the teacher/child ratio?
  The teacher/infant ratio for the Infant room is 1:4, one teacher to every four infants
The Toddler ratio is 1;5, one teacher to every five toddlers
The Two Yr. old ratio is 1;8, one teacher to every eight Two Yr. olds
The Preschool ratio is 1;10, one teacher to every ten preschoolers
   
3. What do I need to bring on our first day?
  Depending on the age of your child, the needed materials may vary. Everything must be labeled with your child’s first and last name.

The Infant parents should provide diapers, wipes, extra clothes and any security items if needed (pacifiers, blankets, etc.). Formula would need to be prepared at home; breast milk may come in frozen bags and stored in the freezer for up to two weeks time. Baby cereals and jar foods are also provided by the parent.

Toddler parents should provide diapers, wipes, extra clothes, an art smock, napping items, and three sippy cups for the scheduled meal times.

Two year old parents should provide potty training supplies (depending on progress; diapers, pull-ups or underwear), wipes, extra clothes, napping items, and an art smock.

Preschool parents should provide extra clothes (including underwear), napping items, and an art smock.
   
4. Do you offer full time care only? Part time care?
  Early Days Preschool & Childcare offers full time and part time care. We are happy to accommodate almost any schedule. Our half day programs are typically morning only, with the exception of the Infant room. They are from 7a.m – 1p.m. Rates do vary according to how many days your child attends.
   
5. Are meals included?
  Early Days Preschool & Childcare provides three meals each day; Breakfast, Lunch and an Afternoon snack. Early Days is a "peanut-free" facility due to the severe allergic reaction. In the morning, the children are served breakfast which includes fruit and milk. At lunch, a nutritious meal is provided that includes a fruit, vegetable and milk. There is an afternoon snack served after naptime that includes a fruit and juice.
   
6. Is there a registration fee or deposit required?
  There is a non-refundable registration fee of $125.00 required to hold placement in the classroom. If you enroll more than one child, there is a family registration fee of $200.00 required to hold placement for both/all the children. Early Days Preschool & Childcare does have an annual registration fee of $75.00 due each year that the child is enrolled.
   
7. What holidays are you closed?
  The holidays in which we are closed include:
• New Years Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day / the day after Thanksgiving
• Christmas Day
   
8. Is payment weekly or monthly?
  Early Days Preschool & Childcare does offer bi-monthly and monthly payment options. Weekly payment would have to be discussed with the Director.
   
9. Is your playground fenced?
  The playground at Early Days Preschool & Childcare is fenced and private.
   
10. What are your staff qualifications?
  All the staff at Early Days Preschool & Childcare are CPR and First Aid certified. Early Days Preschool & Childcare does follow the Department of Children and Family services in regards to Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher qualifications. They all have a great deal of experience with children, and many are attending college to pursue various degrees in the Early Childhood Education field.
   
11. How long have you been open?
  Early Days Preschool & Childcare has been open since April of 2006.
   
12. Is Early Days Preschool & Childcare a family run center or a Corporate center?
  Early Days Preschool & Childcare is a family run center.
   
13. Is Early Days Preschool & Childcare a safe facility?
  You never have to worry about the health and safety of your children. Early Days Preschool & Childcare is a brand new facility with full security. There is a remote system to enter the front door, and all classroom doors are locked at all times.
   
14. What special activities do you offer?
  Early Days Preschool & Childcare offers several programs for children and parents. During the summer months, we have a summer camp program that includes moonwalks, water days, and special visitors. Some of these visitors are Lil’ Critters (reptile show), Mother Goose Storytelling, and a DJ/Magic show. Early Days Preschool & Childcare also offers "Parent’s Night Out" (weekend care) every other month of the year.
